We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

Technical Information about this Website’s Accessibility
Church Street Practice is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to ‘the non-compliances and exemptions’ listed below.
Non-Accessible Content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Text (Online & Documents)
Headings, subheadings, lists and tables are sometimes not styled as such, in either HTML or .docx programming language. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
Calls to action in text are sometimes only comprehensible if users can see the page. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.3 (Sensory Characteristics).
Link text does not always clearly explain where the link will take website users. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.4 (Link Purpose – In Context).
Titles and headings do not always clearly state what topics different pages cover. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.6 (Headings and Labels).
These accessibility issues will be resolved by 31/12/20.
Images
Some images and maps lack alternative or descriptive text. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
Important text is sometimes presented in images. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.5 (Images of Text).
These accessibility issues will be resolved by 31/12/20.
Disproportionate burden
Listed under the following headings are several accessibility issues. We believe that fixing these issues would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations. As such, unless circumstances change, we are unable to correct these issues. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Text
Most text cannot be resized. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.4.4 (Resize text).
Technology
Users cannot zoom in on a page by double-tapping the text. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.5.1 (Pointer Gestures).
Navigation
Users are unable to see where they are on a page, if navigating using only a keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.7 (Focus Visible).
Users cannot bypass blocks of text and images that are repeated on multiple web pages. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks).
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. For example, we do not plan to edit past editions of the Patient Participation Group Newsletter so that they meet accessibility standards.
