Mental Health

If you’re having mental health problems, you’re not alone. One in four of us will have problems with our mental health at some time in our lives.

At Church Street we have a non judgemental supportive environment with GPs who will listen to you and help you make a plan to improve things.

Not everyone needs medication – a lot of our patients need support, understanding and help at knowing what to improve how they feel. This may involve talking therapies such as counselling or psychology or perhaps tackling what has triggered the change in how you feel such as relationship, grief, financial or work issues.

If you or a family member is struggling with your mood or unusual thoughts remember we are here to help. If you and the GP feel it is necessary we can refer you on for further close support from the psychiatric services. If you are feeling suicidal it is important to come in to talk to us so we can help.

The links below are organisations that can offer further understanding and help. The GPs often will recommend looking at their websites or contacting them for further support.
