Routine Appointments

To book a routine appointment with your GP, use our eConsult service

You do not need your NHS login details to use eConsult, but it will make it quicker to use the service.

To use eConsult, you will be asked to do the following:

  1. Tell us what you’re looking for.
    • Help with a condition.
    • General advice.
    • Sick notes, GP letters and test results.
    • Help for a child.
  2. Select your medical condition from the list provided.
  3. Choose what service you would like.
    • Information on how to treat your condition at home
    • Information about over-counter treatments
    • A GP consultation

You will then be asked a series of questions to determine the severity of your condition.

No matter the severity of your condition, all submissions to eConsult will receive a response within two working days.

Emergencies

E-consult is not an emergency service. If you have an urgent problem you should call the practice on 01235 770245.

We have an emergency phone line through our phone menu. After calling, choose option 1.

Our Duty GP can then be asked to speak to you straight away and deal with the emergency appropriately. Our emergency phone line is open from 8am to 6.30pm

If you have an emergency outside of these hours, you should call 111.

Home Visits

Home visits should only be requested for those who are unable to come to the surgery because of serious illness. Visits should be requested before 10.30am if possible.

Before the doctor or Emergency Care Practitioner visits they may phone you to ask further details of the problem. This helps them make sure that they are bringing the right equipment with them or whether the problem may be dealt with in an alternative way.

If you’re unable to attend an appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment you should contact the practice as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment to someone else. We have a text reminder service you can sign up to which will text you the day before your appointment is due.
